Triple joy for outstanding UCLan Hospitality graduate
Star graduate Paulina Lukaszewska is celebrating again after winning a prestigious award for her efforts on the UCLan International Hospitality Management programme.
In addition to graduating with First Class Honours and securing a job with Swire Hotels, Paulina has been awarded the Marriott Hotel Prize for Academic Excellence.
During her time on the course she gained a wealth of additional experience, working on a number of student focused projects at UCLan and also tackling an introductory Spanish language course on top of her degree.
Paulina also undertook placements with Langham Hotels at their properties in Shenzhen and London, before taking part in study trips to Poland and Cambodia in her final year.
As her time at UCLan drew to a close Paulina was invited to Hong Kong for an interview at Swire Hotels. She was subsequently offered a place on their International Operations Management Trainee (IOMT) programme.
Pam Monks, Director of HR for Liverpool and Preston Marriott Hotels, presented the award to Paulina during UCLan's summer Graduation celebrations. She said: "We're delighted that Paulina was awarded the Marriott Prize for Academic Excellence.
"Her outstanding accomplishments, knowledge and work experience she's gained whilst at UCLan has given her solid foundations and a fantastic springboard for the future.
"I know that this will enable her to have a long and very successful career in our industry. We wish her every future success."
